Week 3 update

So far, I have a rough 3D model of a desk, using Blender. In the next few day’s I’m going to be putting texturing on it and some final touches to make it look more like a desk. In the coming week or two, I’m going to be making a few other 3D models and I’ve got those in decent enough shape, I’m going to jump into Unity to start coding and making the game.

This is the first model I’ve made of items to put into the game environment. I’m going to make a series of objects that can be found inside the room. I still have to put in textures to the desk, and there might be some changes to the object itself. But as for the project as a whole, there hasn’t been any changes so far.

The main resources I’ve come across so far are actually organizations I’ve either been a part of in my younger years, or have known people that are in. One is Eye to Eye, a mentoring organization that pairs high school students and college students with learning differences with middle schools who have similar learning differences. The other is Understood, a organization who tries to help educate people about learning differences. Both of these organizations not only include people with dyslexia, but a wide range of other learning differences.
